Hünchen mit Salbei

This dish can also be made with pork, but with chicken we have a lighter and more delicate version. Sage gives food a taste of the Cretan mountains and also helps with digestion. This is another simple dish that packs a lot of flavor.

A Chardonnay accompanies our meal perfectly.

40 min. preparation time


  1. 1 medium chicken
  2. 2 large onions
  3. 1/2 glass of olive oil
  4. 1/2 glass of white wine
  5. Juice 1 lemon
  6. 2 sprigs of sage
  7. Salt


  1. Wash the chicken and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Fry the chicken and onion in oil until it takes on color and then deglaze with the wine.
  3. Salt and add some water. Let simmer for about 1 hour.
  4. Finally add the lemon juice and sage sprigs and cook for another 5 minutes.

Best served with rice.
